Year 6 recently took part in a Safer Travel workshop to help prepare them for the transition to high school. The session focused on how to travel safely and confidently on public transport with a particular emphasis on using buses. The children had the exciting opportunity to step aboard a real bus where they learned practical tips on staying safe, how to behave responsibly while travelling and what to do in different situations. They were also shown how to plan an effective journey, including reading timetables and understanding routes as well as how to ensure their journeys are calm and peaceful. The children thoroughly enjoyed the experience and found it both fun and informative.
