This half term, our Year 5 pupils had an educational visit from the Royal Navy. We learnt what the Royal Navy is, what types of job they have to offer as well as all the different places people in the Royal Navy are able to travel to. We also found out what it means to the Royal Navy staff to help people. We discussed teamwork and how the Royal Navy signal for help. We then got the chance to design and make our own flare and were then, with the support of the Royal Navy, able to practise shooting our flare as high as we could from a compressed air machine.
