Year 6 had a fantastic trip to Leeds Art Gallery where they were able to see some amazing works of art up close. They explored sculptures, sketches and paintings and learned how artists move from their first ideas and rough sketches to a finished piece. The children also enjoyed seeing artwork by local artists from West Yorkshire which made the experience feel even more special. During the visit, everyone chose their favourite piece of art and had a go at sketching it themselves. The children had a great time and really enjoyed the trip.
