Y5 have enriched the curriculum this half term through researching, planning and creating delicious three-course meals.

5N’s meal began with a light and refreshing starter of crisp carrot and cucumber sticks. This was followed by a comforting selection of garden salad sandwiches, layered with fresh, crunchy vegetables and soft bread. To finish, the meal ended on a sweet note with warm, fluffy pancakes topped generously with juicy strawberries.

5R’s three-course meal offered a comforting mix of wholesome ingredients. The starter featured chicken wholemeal wraps, lightly filled with tender chicken. For the main course, lightly-toasted pitta breads were topped with rich tomato sauce and melted cheese. To finish, a fruit and yoghurt parfait provided a light and refreshing dessert.

5P’s menu began with a classic bruschetta. The main course featured chicken served alongside vegetables creating a balanced and nourishing centrepiece. To finish, the meal ended on a sweet and luxurious note with strawberries dipped in rich chocolate which tasted both indulgent and refreshing.

5W’s meal consisted of eggs paired with creamy avocado served on toasted bread. The main part of the meal was chicken wraps packed with chicken and vegetables all wrapped in a soft tortilla for easy eating. Colourful fruit kebabs were provided for the dessert which brought together a variety of juicy, seasonal fruits.
