During our personal safety lessons, Year 4 had a fantastic time learning how to stay safe in a variety of everyday situations. We welcomed a special visitor who taught us all about road safety, fire safety and how to spot hazards at home. The children practised the important "Stop, Look, Listen and Think" routine and even put their skills to the test by safely crossing the road with adults. We discussed why it is important to be bright and visible, how to stay safe when travelling by car or bus, and the safest places to cross the road. The children also explored how distractions, such as mobile phones or peer pressure, can lead to unsafe situations and learned how to plan a safer journey to school. It was an engaging and practical week that helped everyone become more confident, responsible and safety-aware citizens!
