To enhance our learning of rail safety, staff from Network Rail visited school to talk to us about ways to keep ourselves safe. We learned about the dangers of playing near railway tracks, level crossings, and overhead power lines. We also found out why it is important to stay behind the yellow line when waiting for a train and to always follow safety signs. Our visitors shared real-life examples that helped us understand the potentially serious consequences of unsafe behaviour. We asked interesting questions and learned how to make safe choices around railways.
