PUPIL PREMIUM FUNDING 2015-16

 The aim of the Pupil Premium Grant is to provide additional funding for disadvantaged children.

 Total amount of Pupil Premium

 £180,840

 

Additional Teaching Assistants £120,000

We have continued to fund our additional teaching assistants and increased their number.  They have made a significant impact on raising standards for our vulnerable groups.  All teachers and assistants have identified focus groups who they work with.  Quality feedback is given to children about their work which aids improvement.

Additional Tuition

Small group work or 1:1 support has had a very positive impact on targeted children and this will continue.

Reading Resources, Library relocation and refurbishment £20,000

Existing library will be relocated in Room 14. Books plus (Kirklees) to carry out an audit and box and store all books, so that re-location and refurbishment can take place.

Enrichment Projects £10,000

We continue to offer a broad menu of enrichment activities to provide invaluable experiences to all children.  These projects have made a positive impact on their academic achievement at school as well as their self-confidence.

Intervention training/TA training £5,000

Well targeted interventions have had a positive impact in school. Teaching Assistants have been specifically trained to target under achieving children.

Breakfast Club £5,000

We offer a free Breakfast Club to children.  As well as ensuring that all children start the day with a healthy and nutritious breakfast it also enables staff to target children for additional support.

Theatrical Productions £2,000

Pupil Premium has provided funding for the costs of two theatrical productions in school.

Residential visits £4,000

Residential visits to Cliffe House and an annual camp to Semerwater in the Yorkshire Dales have been subsidized from the Pupil Premium.

Learning Mentor £20,000

Ongoing costs of our Learning Mentor (previously funded by EIC) have been supplemented by Pupil Premium.
